Transparent Acrylic Curved Seat
The Shimmer has a seat moulded from hard wearing clear acrylic, shaped with a cascading front lip and a low backrest that rises upwards in a flowing, seamless curve. This is both comfortable and space saving in design.
Gas Lift Chrome Frame
The clear seat perches on top of a tubular steel column plated in chrome. The chrome mirrors the surrounding environment and helps the shimmer to almost disappear. This again helps to keep a room feeling large, no matter what the size. A gas lift mechanism gives the ability to raise and lower the seat, as well as 360 degree rotation, making it ideal around the home, at a breakfast bar or kitchen dining table. Your floor will remain unscathed as the Shimmer has a base with a protective rubber floor guard beneath.

Honestly can't believe how smooth this purchase was.
Background - part of our kitchen refurb a couple of years ago involved purchase of a couple of kitchen stools, swivel type with clear plastic / perspex seats. Yikes - one of them snapped under me at breakfast ! And it was a light breakfast too! Cue web search for replacement, not too hopeful. But Atlantic came up with the goods after a bit of a trawl through various sites. Ordered one afternoon - arrived next lunchtime. What?! How'd you do that ?? Quality slightly better than original, price roughly comparable, stools virtually identical otherwise. Extremely satisfied in every respect. Well Done you guys. Happy to recommend.Reviewed by
