Research shows that Sundays are often spent at home with the family or finishing odd jobs around the house, therefore making for an ideal delivery day. Simply place your order before 3pm on the Friday, select ‘Sunday Delivery’ at the checkout stage, and you’ll receive your order between 8am and 5pm on the Sunday. Return of Fabric to Stools & Chairs
It's fair to say that in recent years we've witnessed a revival in furniture design, with an increasing number of seating upholstered in fabric. Having a significant impact on contemporary decor, they've become a popular alternative to the real or faux leather bar stools and chairs that have dominated the market for numerous years. This rapid increase in the production of these designs could be due to a variety of factors. One of the main advantages of fixed height fabric bar stools is their ability to include a sprung and belted seat area that gives sumptuous comfort and support beyond the density of the padding. In addition, textile material is breathable and subsequently it does not retain much heat whilst seated. And finally, it has the ability to play host to a spectrum of different colours and types of patterns that are generally not possible with leather styles in solid shades. The return of fabric first became prominent amongst dining chairs, and evidence suggests that bar stools are starting to follow suit. Reasoning for this could be that more people are using their domestic bars as their main dining space as opposed to simply a casual breakfast area. Does Fashion Influence the Stool and Chair Industry
It's fair to say that the influence of the fashion world on the furniture industry is undeniable. This is exemplified in the fact that the latest styles of clothing and fashionable colours now appear to diffuse straight from the runway and into our homes through furniture such as bar stools and chairs. Many attribute this immediate ripple effect to the growth of the internet and our new accessibility to social media, which offers the opportunity to both instantaneously witness and supply the upcoming trends. In previous years, it was widely accepted that the runway trends and colours would generally take about six years to slowly filter their way into our home decor. More recently this is believed to have reduced to around a two year delay, as designers would tend to plan and produce the items in anticipation of later release within high street or department stores. New Printed Leather Stool Designs
Just in time for 2014, we are very excited to be launching the brand new Status Bar Stool! An industry first, printed faux leather covers the entire outer circumference of the circular seat, where each of the four designs features an instantly recognisable image that will transform the look of your bar area. Utilising a completely unique process, these images are printed directly onto the faux leather, becoming integrated into the material and giving a striking look that remains durable. Inventive and funky, each of the stools within the range has a breath-taking design styled in a way that we have never offered before. Three of these fabulous designs include photographic scenes of iconic cities. Using a technique called ‘colour splash’, these images are presented in black and white with specific elements remaining highlighted in colour. The Taxi design contains a bustling shot of New York City with a number of famous yellow cabs emphasised to give a bright, visual boost. The City View uses photographic light trails to show an energetic landscape laden with skyscrapers. Captured at night, a multitude of light adds a burst of subtle colours to the urban setting.
