UPHOLSTERED STOOLS
Upholstered stools come in a variety of modern bar stool designs, ranging from moulded resin seats, that suit all environments; from the simple and chic minimalist items to contemporary upholstered designs that have been honed to perfection, with curving surfaces that catch the eye in any location. Whether you have traditional decor in a rustic kitchen or a retro 70s style breakfast bar, there are lines to match your needs and tastes.
The majority of upholstered stools come, with sumptuous seats padded in high density foam, giving exemplary levels of comfort. Ergonomically formed foam sections cosset your body, ensuring you are relaxed at all times, even after extended periods of use. There are stools with high backrests for added support, or at the other end of the field, those with low lips that only skirt the rear edge. Armrests can also be found on the more opulent designs, giving armchair like luxuriant bolstering you on either side.
Steel frames come in hand worked brushed steel or mirror finish chrome plating for completely opposite looks; one subtle one startling. There are fixed height bar stools built around Bauhaus inspired boxed and tubular steel frames, and those with height adjustable gas lift mechanisms. Gas lifts provide excellent dynamics, allowing you to raise and lower the seat as well as turn through 360 degrees, making access to any bar counter or bar table all the easier. Finally, there are four legged designs, coming in both metal and wooden frames, sporting such finishes as natural oak, walnut and black lacquer.
Seats are upholstered most usually, though there are other fabrics available, in leather and faux leather. Real leather gives that organic feel and fragrance, adding superb character and tactility to any environment and a luxury feel like no other. The beautiful grain reinforces the upmarket feel and makes the stool all the more lush and classy, whilst remaining very hard wearing. You can also find bonded real leather, with a uniform surface that is expertly stitched to the body of the seat, accentuating the curves and grooves for even more visual impact.
The majority of the designs on the market, however, are usually faux leather bar stools. Faux leather is so popular because of its diverse properties; it is stain resistant and can easily be wiped clean should anything be spilled on it, perfect for the busy environment such as a kitchen diner. It is also resilient to a number of cleaning products and chemicals that would otherwise taint real leather, and is durable to withstand frequent usage.
Thanks to the way it is produced, faux leather can be infused with a number of dyes early on in production, resulting in a whole medley of resplendent colours, ranging from the deep black and crisp white monochrome end of the spectrum through to funky orange, zesty yellow and shocking lime green. These upholstered stools have even contrasting styles, with brown and cream a trendy choice, or even red on black for an undeniable, jaw dropping effect.
