HOME BAR STOOLS
The proliferation of home bar stools can be attributed to the rise in popularity of the domestic bar, which is now seen as an integral part of any household. Bar stools were originally designed for use in bars, pubs and clubs so patrons would have a place to sit and relax whilst having their drinks, making a superb addition to the bar counter, but at the home has evolved so has the common stool.
As more and more people choose to have kitchen island bars or an integrated breakfast counter, the styles of stool available on the market are ever growing; with a myriad of options that provide a the perfect opportunity to furnish your household. There are several types of stool with varying heights and styles depending on where they are intended for use, as the bar layout is anything from conventional and can be completely different from a kitchen to a games room. A lot of bar tables and counters have a standard 90cm height, which is usually referred to as bar height and is set at the same level of kitchen countertops, although in the traditional bar environment counters are more often than not 10cm higher, at 100cm or poseur height.
Due to this variation from area to area, the gas lift mechanism has become a highly desirable feature as it offers excellent personalisation, permitting you to raise or lower the seat as you see fit. This lets you tailor the seat to suit your circumstances or alter it for the young or elderly, and as all gas lift bar stools have a swivel feature, making access to any bar table or counter all the easier.
Soft faux leather and luxurious real leather are used to upholster padded seats, which have high density foam cushions beneath for superb levels of comfort, whilst ergonomically formed resin stools cosset your body. These include hard wearing, retro high gloss ABS resin as well as translucent acrylic Perspex for futuristic items that bathe any room in colour when light is shone through. Traditional wooden bar stools provide natural beauty, showcasing a tactile grain that adds character. There are those with wooden seats whereas others are fashioned solely from wood, with rustic four legged designs that are ideal in any location, perfect for all types of flooring.
