In the home, the work surface or table that the bar stools are placed at are usually 90cm from the floor to the top surface, whereas in a pub or club environment, the bar is usually about 105cm or above. Because of this, the stools need to be taller, adding more weight. To keep the centre of gravity low and to stop them from toppling over, our commercial grade bar stools come with much heavier bases to give them balance and excellent stability.
