Oak Kitchen Stools

By Adrian Higgins, 10th June, 2012

The desirability of oak kitchen stools makes them a superb addition to any home, giving a classy, natural touch that exudes to its surroundings. The organic and tactile feel that they bring to any location makes them ever popular, with a look that never seems to age but only becomes more fashionable. Our new line of solid oak bar stools is a stylish yet robust range, with each item showcasing high-class, quality construction, and traditionally inspired design which works superbly in amongst any decor from the retro through to the modern. Ready assembled, they are primed for any kitchen or breakfast bar and will take pride of place in any home, with a beautiful, jaw-dropping grain that shows through the light, natural finish of the oak sections.

"Oak has been used since time immemorial for everything from the frames of houses through to utensils and even toys, being sought after for its look, its durability and its strength. In today’s ecologically conscious world, it is again rising in popularity and is once more a fashionable choice."

The beautiful Clifton is our first offering; a high wing backed item with sophisticated black faux leather upholstery boasting stylish quilted button detailing, and the amply padded seat is sprung and belted for first class comfort. The four legs are held rigid by a series of bracing bars that increase the visual impact as well as the stability, enhancing the upmarket feel. (January 2019 - Please note, the Clifton has now been discontinued, we recommend the Tetbury as an alternative.)

The Audley is a more contemporary take with on trend charcoal fabric covering the backless design, whilst chic chrome studs edge the seat and matching chrome footrests create a striking contrast with the natural oak finished frame. This gives an elegant touch and charm, bringing undeniable character to every setting.

Several of our new breakfast bar stools come with this choice; either a full oak seat, or supplemented with a comfortable pad to add even more luxuriousness, making our choice of leather bar stools even more diverse. The Ikon is another stunning example; a compact and versitile design with modern influences, it is a perfectly formed accompaniment to any bar table or kitchen worktop.

The last item is the Purbeck, a taller member of our wooden kitchen stools which is perfect for raised bar areas such as those above island counters, and has a seat held at 76cm high. This is complemented by an arching, dense foam padded backrest that sits at the end of the slender, curving rear legs, also upholstered in the aged brown leather. (March 2015 - Please note, the Purbeck has now been discontinued and replaced by our popular Tetbury Oak Stool Brown Leather.)

All of these oak kitchen stools can be used on any type of flooring from carpet through to tile, helping to prevent scratches to your surfaces, and the same applies to the matching oak dining chairs we also have. These share designs with the aforementioned stools and also their strong oak construction, whilst having more pronounced backrests that stand proud at any dining table.
