Eclipse Bar Stool

Vegas Bar Stool

Bar Stools With Or Without Arms

For some, having arm rests on a stool, such as the Eclipse bar stool is a must. Some want the added comfort and convenience of having somewhere to place their arms, but it is also true that having a stool without armrests can be practical in more ways than one. Stool without armrests can be tucked in under worktops more easily, and will suffer less bumps and knocks than those without. The thing to remember is that once armrests are placed on a stool the width of it increases, therefore it is essential that you have the space to fit the number of stools you require around the area in which you wish to place them.

Stools with arms have a width of around 52-55cm, an example being the Eclipse Bar Stools, whereas stools without arms have a general width of 38cm upwards. Therefore, if purchasing a stool with arms it may be advisable to firstly measure the bar or work surface area where you are intending to place the stools and then divide the length by the number of stools you intend to purchase. This will then give you some indication of the seat width measurement that you should be looking at for the stools to fit in that area. One must also remember that between each stool you will probably need space to rotate on the stools and to get between them; we therefore recommend a minimum space of 15cm between each stool to give you adequate space to do this.

Additionally, look at the table or work surface that you wish the stools to be placed under in order to ensure that there will be adequate space for the stool to be stowed under or next to. Allowing sufficient space between the underside of your work surface and the top of your stool will prevent your stools from becoming damaged or scuffed, as you have to bear in mind the height of the armrests, like with the Titan bar stool, may cause an added restriction for yourself, but with the majority of our stools being gas lift operated this should not prove to be too much of a problem as you can lower the height to enable the stool to be placed under the surface, allowing room for the armrests.
